‘Fans of Cleopatra’ explores in rich detail a number of fans dating from the eighteenth to early-twentieth century, each held within the Museum’s renowned collections and decorated with subjects pertaining to the legend of Queen Cleopatra VII, the last of the Ptolemaic dynasty, which ruled over Egypt during the Hellenistic period.
