Since first opening in 1991 the Museum has entertained a diverse range of groups, including Women’s Institutes, arts societies, City Livery Companies, adult learners and international students.
The Fan Museum extends a warm welcome to organised groups of up to 24 people. For groups that exceed this, we recommend you contact the Museum Office to discuss your individual requirements.
For groups of 8 or more people, due to the size of the Museum, please contact the Museum Office to arrange a suitable visit time. Please note that concessionary and discounted rates are not applicable and entry is charged at £5.00 per head in these cases.

Our tours strike a balance between education and entertainment and offer fascinating insights into The Fan Museum and its collections, the history and culture of fans and the craft of fan making.
Cost: £10.00 per person.
Please note that discounts are not applicable for guided tours. The Fan Museum requires all groups to pre-book their visit. To obtain a booking form and finalise a booking, please contact the Museum Office.
Please make sure to state the number of attendees in your group, preferred dates and times, any access or mobility requirements and (in the case of booking for refreshments) any allergies or dietary needs. All information relevant to a guided tour or group booking must be received at least two weeks prior to the proposed visit date.
We only host guided tour groups on Mondays or Tuesdays, when the Museum is closed to the general public.
In addition to touring the displays, your group may wish to pre-book the Museum’s Orangery for refreshments. There are a variety of catering options available on request. Contact the contact the Museum Office for more information.
As standard, tea, coffee and biscuits in the Orangery are offered at a cost of £5.00 per person.
As the Orangery is no longer available as a public café, we ask that any refreshments or bookings are made at least 2 weeks in advance of the desired visit date.
