Dr. Gerri Kimber, the celebrated author and Chair of The Katherine Mansfield Society reviewed the script enthusiastically….
‘This remarkable play, written with great sensitivity and clearly the result of thorough research, offers us the tantalising scenario of placing Katherine Mansfield, her husband John Middleton Murry, and their friends D. H. Lawrence and Virginia Woolf, together in the South of France, as they converse their way through one glitteringly memorable day in 1920. Fantasy? Yes, but so utterly believable and engrossing, that I now find myself unable to imagine that such an event did not take place. Sheer theatrical perfection.’
This staged and fully rehearsed reading, will be realised by 5 highly accomplished professional actors. All tickets include admission to the Museum’s latest exhibition as well as light refreshments at the intermission.
The play runs for approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes including intermission and advance booking is recommended as all previous showcases have sold out many weeks in advance.
