In Celebration! The Darkling Heart

  • Friday 11th October 2019, 7:30pm

In 1870 the novelist Thomas Hardy, who was at that time a young architect, met Emma Lavinia Gifford, and high on the Cornish cliffs they fell in love. However the 37 years of marriage that followed were troubled to say the least. Rich in comedy, high emotion, and fascinating historical detail, this new play by award winning author Wayne Adrian Drew, presents the moving story of two remarkable lives and the love & hatred that transcended even death itself.

The production that runs for approximately 75 minutes without interval, will feature Susan Seddon and David Newham, and preview in the painted Orangery of The Fan Museum in Greenwich on the 11th of October prior to its premiere at the Norwich Hostry Festival the following week.
