Local Community Open Day

We’re hosting a Local Community Open Day on Saturday 16th December to encourage residents from the Royal Boroughs of Greenwich and Lewisham to explore and discover our historic and contemporary collections for FREE*.

The Open Day will offer free entry to the museum (with valid ID*).

Free activities will include:
– Festive fan decorating for children
– Short tours of our current exhibition Street Fans and permanent displays
– Activity trails

We will also be offering limited discounted places on two festive fan making workshops. For further details and to book your place on a fan making workshop please click here.

The orangery will be open for festive afternoon teas throughout the day (walk-ins only).

*Local residents from the Royal Greenwich and Lewisham boroughs are required to present identification with their current address to receive free entry (e.g. driving licence, utility bill etc.)

The Museum is open Tuesday – Saturday, 11:00am – 5:00pm, last entry at 4:30pm

The Museum’s last day open of 2024 will be Thursday 19th December, and it will reopen to the public in February 2025.
